On 3 November 2026, Voting Ends In Alaska At 1:00 AM (ET) On 4 November 2026. At 1:01 AM (ET), Might President Trump Order The DOD To Commence An Attack Upon Iran?

At 1:00 AM (ET) On 4 November 2026, After The Last Balloting Location Has Closed, Might President Trump Commence An Attack Upon Iran?

On Tuesday, 3 November 2026, registered voters in the United States will cast their ballots for seats in the United States Congress (House of Representatives and Senate), for Governors, and for state and local offices.

The first voting commences on 3 November 2026 at 6:00 am (ET) in multiple states and voting ceases on 4 November 2026 at 1:00 am (ET) when the last locations close in the State of Alaska.

Donald Trump, President of the United States (2017-2021 and 2025-2029), will monitor the results from The White House in Washington DC.

Across the Potomac River in Arlington, Virginia, officials (civilian and military) at the United States Department of Defense (War) will be monitoring the monitoring.  They will await orders from the Commander-in-Chief.

Twenty minutes from The White House, officials at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Langley, Virginia, will be monitoring the monitoring.

6,356 miles away in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Islamic Republic of Iran Army (Artesh) will be monitoring the monitoring.

5,913 miles away in Jerusalem, the disputed designated capital of the State of Israel, officers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Mossad (Central Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations) will be monitoring the monitoring.

The Department of Defense (War) confirmed the 27 September 2026 deployment from San Diego, California, of the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) Carrier Strike Group (aircraft carrier, guided missile cruiser, destroyers, other support vessels) to the Arabian Sea.  The expected arrival is days before 3 November 2026- Election Day in the United States.

Once balloting locations are closed at 1:00 am (ET) on 4 November 2026, with no more votes to be cast, not surprising would President Trump instructing the United States Department of Defense (War) to commence at 1:01 am (ET) an attack upon the Islamic Republic of Iran.

NOTE: Regardless of the outcome of the 3 November 2026 elections throughout the United States, the composition (Republican Party control) of the United States Congress (435 members in the House of Representatives and 100 members in the Senate) remains unchanged until 3 January 2027 when those elected and re-elected take their oath of office to serve in the 120th United States Congress until 3 January 2029.  President Trump’s term ceases at 12:00 pm on 20 January 2029.

Maritime Executive (2 October 2026): US officials in Washington have briefed the press that a third US Carrier Strike Group, led by the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), is on its way to the Central Command area. The USS Theodore Roosevelt, homeported in San Diego, departed quietly on September 27.

Also seen deploying from San Diego on September 28 was the Amphibious Ready Group led by the Wasp Class amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD-8), accompanied by the USS Anchorage (LPD-23) and the USS John P. Murtha (LPD-26). The ARG has the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit embarked.

Central Command has intimated that these deploying formations will rotate with forces currently manning the blockade line in the Arabian Sea, with the USS Theodore Roosevelt CSG relieving the USS George Washington CSG. Presumably the USS Makin Island ARG is relieving the USS Boxer ARG and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, while leaving the second aircraft carrier USS George HW Bush on the line. The USS George HW Bush has been in the Arabian Sea since April, and by the end of November will have been at sea for about 200 days.

The rotation of forces looks as if it is scheduled for the end of November. This will be after the results of the mid-term elections are in, before which President Trump has said decisions will not be made regarding Iran – whether to agree to a negotiated settlement or, as Trump puts it, to “annihilate Iran.”

Even if the rotations still go ahead as conjectured, there will be a period of weeks in which US naval and marine forces will be at nearly double strength, with outgoing and inbound formations both still present in theatre. Force planners may consider that with US Air Force bases within the region vulnerable to Chinese and Russian surveillance and Iranian missile attack, it would be useful to have additional airpower afloat and onboard US aircraft carriers instead, in case offensive operations are to be resumed against Iran.

The current movement of forces therefore gives US Central Command some useful options should Trump forsake negotiations and opt instead to resume a wider war. This window of opportunity should occur at about the same time as the last revenues from the dwindling Iranian stock of oil held afloat in Asia are being banked, exacerbating Iran’s financial crisis further.
